Before and After School
Meaningful Before- and After-School Support for your Child.
Peace of Mind for You.
The Right Club is here for working parents who are looking for a safe and comfortable place for their child every day before or after school, as well as parents who want to extend their child’s day with enrichment, fitness and fun. Led by our nurturing educators, your child will become part of an after-school community that truly feels like family.
A Typical Day at Right At School
Students begin their day with a healthy snack and “Town Hall,” where students share news and special events and our educators preview the fun afternoon that awaits them. This is a key time for fostering a community. Then, students participate in a “quick fit” to get the after-school “wiggles” out before beginning homework.
Right At School provides daily and consistent homework support. During Homework Help, Educators are paired with like-age groups of students to provide instructional support, encourage critical thinking, and promote problem-solving. Our educators are guided by an assumption of ability; they work to help students understand their homework but will not solve the problems for the students.
We always make time for fun fitness activities! Our educators lead highly-interactive group games that model positive sportsmanship – and we take fitness outside as often as possible!
At Right At School, we believe in the power of learning through play. Led by our Disguised Learning™ methods, students participate in thematic two-week units that provide daily enrichment activities. While our curriculum engages a variety of subjects: math and science, reading and writing, nature and outdoor learning, creative and performing arts, composition and design, history and commerce, fitness and conditioning, community service learning, and global diversity – our students just know they’re having fun!
We’re Unwavering on Safety. Now More than Ever.
You can feel confident that our updated health practices will create a safe environment for your camper. When we are able to open, things will look a little different as we take extra precautions.
Take a look at how we’ve updated some of our practices to align with new state guidelines:
We provide wellness checks for staff and students every day before entering the program. These include temperature-taking and self-assessment for any symptoms. No one is allowed in camp with any symptoms or if there is a sick family member at home.
We adhere to new hygiene practices: handwashing for staff and students for at least 20 seconds multiple times per day (upon arrival, before eating, coming in from outside, after restroom use, etc.).
Physical distancing is practiced at all times. Students sit apart during meal times, curriculum activities and outdoor play (playground equipment is not used).
Staff Face Masks
All staff wear protective face masks in the program at all times.
Personal Supply Kits
Students do not share activity supplies; each student has his or her own supply kit.
We have increased sanitization practices: all surfaces and areas are cleaned after each use throughout the day.
Staff to Student Ratios
Staff to student ratios meet or exceed each stateʼs new regulations.
