It’s May, and that time of year when we’re usually inundated with school plays, art showcases, sports games, and graduations. It’s disappointing to miss these fun, end of year celebrations, but maybe we can try to focus on enjoying a May that has a slower pace.
With spring weather peeking in, we thought we’d share some ideas for simple, easy ways to enjoy the outdoors:
- Have an outdoor picnic
- Paint outside
- Draw a map of your neighborhood (or yard) and have your kids follow a marked path
- Fill up a bin or bucket with water for a DIY water table
- Make a DIY slip-n-slide with a tarp
- Make a list of the different animals, insects, and birds you see outside
- Set out a beach towel and read outside
