Kids will enjoy tasty, healthy recipes while learning S.T.E.A.M., culture, language, and geography. Led by experienced Chef Instructors, we ensure all allergies are accommodated, and recipes are always nut-free. Explore our weekly recipes and join us to WHIP up some culinary fun all year. Mon	Mudlark Theater's Act One: Places!: By Mudlark Theater Company	In this engaging after-school class with Mudlark Theater, students will build confidence, creativity, and performance skills through a fun and supportive environment. Using interactive theater games and ensemble-building activities, participants will learn how to work collaboratively, think creatively, and develop strong stage presence. Students will explore how to bring ideas to life through their actor toolkit: movement, voice, and imagination. Along the way, they will gain a solid foundation in theater fundamentals. Tue	Martial Arts by Connelly's Academy: By Connelly’s Academy of Martial Arts	Grandmaster Connelly is one of the most experienced and respected martial arts instructors in Chicago and the North Shore. He and his team of experienced martial arts educators have been providing fun, safe, and age-appropriate classes to our schools for over 30 years. His programs have had success in building confidence and motivating children to be respectful, responsible and resilient. Personal leadership and mutual respect form the foundation of his programs. Grandmaster Connelly and his team make learning martial arts fun, engaging and challenging, all the while building confidence, resiliency and personal leadership. This program teaches goal-setting and persistence, helping each child reach his or her personal best through the study of classical martial arts. Uniforms are not required for beginners. Uniforms may be purchased via our website. If not wearing uniforms, kids should wear loose, comfortable clothing. Belt promotion testing opportunities – where kids can advance in rank and earn a higher belt color by demonstrating what they have learned in class – are offered for qualified students in class. Wed	Pom Squad: Dance & Cheer Combo: By Chicago School of Musical Arts	A fun filled class focused on dance and cheer technique in styles of jazz, pom, sideline cheerleading and hip hop. Class will focus on performance style choreography as well as leaps, turns, kicks, splits and jumps all while emphasizing teamwork, self confidence and school spirit. Join ARTSiE as we bring the inspiring story Grace and the Butterfly Effect to life through hands-on art, creativity, and discovery! In this exciting enrichment class, children will explore the wonders of butterflies, animal life cycles, gardens, and our environment while creating their own works of art. Young artists will sculpt vehicles from clay, design colorful butterflies, build mini gardens, create posters and pop-up cards, experiment with paint, and much more. Along the way, they'll learn how small choices can make a big difference for our planet and their community. Filled with imagination, storytelling, and creative exploration, this class encourages children to see themselves as problem-solvers, helpers, and changemakers. As a special culminating experience, families will be invited to attend a performance of Grace and the Butterfly Effect at Northwestern University's ImagineU theater in the fall and see the story come to life on stage.
